Iran is ready to resume atomic negotiations with Washington as long as it is handled with "respect" and "respect", Tehran's foreign minister has declared.

Abbas Araghchi declared solely negotiations was effective, and disclosed fresh requests had been made by mediators to reopen negotiations with the US government. The prior phases of talks between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and hostile end on 12 June when Israel, with Washington's assistance, attacked Iran's enrichment centers in a two-week conflict that culminated with the American leader declaring the sites had been eliminated. Afterward, Western states employed their right to reimpose global restrictions, but Iran maintains they have not had a major impact.

Ideal Resolution Proposed

Iranian officials said they felt they had attained a "ideal resolution" to the nuclear fuel concern in earlier negotiations, when it was agreed an Iran-based consortium with US participation could process nuclear material. Both sides would have been able to claim victory since home-based processing would have remained and the US could be certain that Iran's nuclear programme was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been agreed in the negotiations that Washington's technical specialists could function within Iranian territory, but that was a logical implication of the cooperative offer. Restoration and Recovery

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the battle of repair and recovery, Araghchi claimed he was assured Iran's security strengths "are considerably enhanced than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We gained many lessons from this engagement; we have identified our internal vulnerabilities and the shortcomings of the adversary."

He added: "We effectively endured this engagement. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to destroy, stays intact. The installations and equipment, if damaged, will be restored; what is essential is the determination of the Iranian people and then the unity of the country that they sought to undermine, but were unable to shatter. The nation of Iran have grown more powerful, more integrated, and more backing of the government and the nation in the face of this attack."
